Ervin's sixth graders tour ASCC
F.S. Ervin Elementary School sixth graders enjoyed touring the Thomasville campus of Alabama Southern Community College on March 19. ASCC is one of the nation's leading training centers for paper and chemical workers. Other fields of study include welding, cosmetology, and health. The students were amazed at the state-of-the-art labs at ASCC. Mr. Moore, an ASCC instructor and a familiar face to Ervin's sixth graders, assured them ASCC prepare students to enter the job market ready to succeed at some of the best jobs in our area. The trip was sponsored by Educational Talent Search. Mary Beth Braswell is director of the program. F.S. Ervin Elementary School sixth graders are pictured above along with teachers Kathryn Pettway, James Bearsley and school counselor Dorothy Robinson.
