Leadership Clarke County class of 2008 graduates

Graduates of the Leadership Clarke County graduating class.
Leadership Clarke County's Class of 2008 was honored recently at graduation ceremonies in Grove Hill. The exercise took place in the fellowship hall of Grove Hill United Methodist Church.

The soon-to-be graduates and their guests were welcomed by Asberry Daffin of Boise, President of Leadership Clarke County. Each graduate gave an impromptu speech on what the class had meant to him or her over the length of the program. Some of the class members were asked to participate in one last class challenge led by board member Debra Wood.

Afterwards, the invocation was given my board member, Marty Parker, also of Boise. The class members, guests, and board members in attendance enjoyed a delicious meal catered by Mrs. Monette Morrison.

Judy Graham, Project Manager for Alabama Power, was the keynote speaker and was introduced by board member Angie Foreman. Judy's speak was both humorous and motivational as she challenged each graduate to take what they had learned and to become involved. Judy is responsible for adding the youth component to the leadership Clarke County program.
