Visit with Alabama dinosaurs

On Tuesday, March 18, approximately 20 students, 10 parents and chaperones from Sweet Water High School made a trip to McWane Science Center in Birmingham. During this trip these students enjoyed the most complete exhibit of Eastern U.S. dinosaurs in the world. In the entire United States, Alabama is the best place east of the Mississippi River to find the remains of dinosaurs. "Alabama Dinosaurs," a brand new exhibit at McWane Science Center, displays actual dinosaur fossils that were discovered in Alabama. The exhibit features rare finds from the Alabama tyrannosaur to the dangerous dromaeosars or "raptors."
