The Thomasville High School junior varsity baseball team picked up three more wins this past week to end their 2008 season with a perfect 11 - 0 record. Two of the three wins came on Monday, April 7, when they swept the visiting Sweet Water Bulldog JV in double header 16 - 3 and 10 - 4. The final win came on a road trip to Atmore on Thursday, April 10, where they blanked the Blue Devil JV 11 - 0.

In the first game on Monday, the Tiger offense pounded out 12 hits against the Bulldogs led by Russ Wright with three and Charles Taylor with two. Joining them with one hit apiece were; Zack Day, Brett Green, Jo Jo Holden, Josh Jackson, Zatrix Taylor, Jay Williams, and Sam Wise. In the extra-base hit category Wright led the way with a pair of doubles while Day, Holden, Charles Taylor and Zatrix Taylor all added a two bagger. Wright was also the RBI leader with three followed by Day and Wise with two each while Holden, Jackson and Zatrix Taylor added one apiece. On the mound Sean Skelton, who started the game, picked up the win allowing three runs on five hits and one walk while striking out five in four innings of work. Will Morgan pitched the final inning of the game allowing one hit.

The Tigers seemed to take up where they left off in game two of the twin bill picking up 10 runs on eight hits to post the victory. Sean Skelton was the leader for the Tigers in game two with three hits followed by Brett Green and Russ Wright with two apiece and Sam Wise with one. Green had the only extra-base hit with a double and led the RBI chase with three. Others driving in runs included Wise with two and Sean Skelton with one. On the mound Darius Bowen picked up the win allowing four runs on four hits and three walks while striking out two in three innings. Jake Dukes pitched the final two innings of the game giving up one walk while striking out six.

In their final tilt of the season it was pretty much all Tigers as three pitchers combined to two hit the Blue Devils while the offense took advantage of several walks, hit batsmen, and timely hitting to pound their host. On the mound the trio of Will Morgan, Jake Dukes and Jay Williams took care of business. Morgan, the starter, worked the first two innings giving up two hits and striking out five in two innings. Dukes came on next for one inning in which he hit one batter and struck out two. Williams closed things out striking out three in his one inning stint. At the plate Darius Bowen led the Tiger offense with three hits followed by Jo Jo Holden, Zatrix Taylor and Sam Wise with one hit apiece. Bowen had the only extra-base hit with a triple and led the team in RBIs with three. Others driving in one run in the game included; Zack Day, Holden, Zatrix Taylor and Sam Wise.
