Perry Lee Andrews

Perry Lee Andrews, 58, of Thomasville, died Monday, April 21, 2008, at Mobile Infirmary.

Mr. Andrews was born August 7, 1949 in Thomasville. He was a timber buyer and was a member of First Baptist Church of Fulton.

Graveside service was held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 22, at Kelley Cemetery in Thomasville with the Rev. Mark Lambert officiating.

Mr. Andrews is survived by his wife, Sabrina Andrews of Thomasville; two daughters, Krista Andrews of Thomasville and Amy Henderson of Tuscaloosa; one son, Hunter Andrews of Thomasville; one brother, Roy Edward Andrews of Chance; one sister, Florene Carlisle of Grove Hill; and one grandchild.

Pallbearers were Greg Ingram, Shannon Tucker, Roy Carlisle, Eddie Vick, Dan Jackson and Joey Harrison.

Honorary pallbearers were Mark Mitchell, Curtis Wood, Joann Stephens, Peggy Williams, Horrie Harrison, Floyd Harper, Dan Norris, Jerry Hawk, Rex Wood, Dwight Coates, Bill Bilbrey, Patrick Gamble and Andrews Timber crew.

Geneva C. Davis

Geneva C. Davis, 78, of Thomasville, died April 14, 2008 in Mt. Vernon.

Mrs. Davis was a retired teacher. She was a member of Elbeathie Pride No. 87 OES and Shady Union Baptist Church.

The funeral was held at 12 noon, April 19, at Shady Union Baptist Church with the Rev. Alfred Pritchett officiating. Burial was in Shady Union Cemetery.

Mrs. Davis is survived by one son, Renard Davis of Mt. Vernon; two nieces she raised, Iris Dixon and Ivy Harper; five brothers, Arthur Pritchett of Grove Hill, Eldred Pritchett, Robert Stephen of Atlanta, Ga., James Pritchett and Alfred Pritchett of Surginer; one sister, Patricia Echols; and four grandchildren, Kimberly, Nicholas Davis, Brandon James and Francheska White.

Reese Funeral Home in Thomasville directed.

Walter Smith Jr.

Walter Smith Jr., 92, of Faunsdale, died Thursday, April 17, 2008, at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital in Demopolis.

Mr. Smith was born June 23, 1915 in Sweet Water.

The funeral was held at 11 a.m., Monday, April 21, at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville with the Rev. Robert Walker and the Rev. Grey Snodgrass officiating. Burial was in Sweet Water Cemetery in Sweet Water.

Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Reba Smith of Faunsdale; three sons, Jimmie (Betty) Smith of Uniontown, Ronald (Jo Ann) Smith of Thomaston and Bruce (Loraine) Smith of Coy; two daughters, Margaret (Joe) Pike of Faunsdale and Barbara (Robert) Walker of Selma; three sisters-in-law, Sybile Smith of Linden, Olivia Cooper of Birmingham and Bobbie Jordan of Sweet Water; 19 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers were Michael Smith, Milton Smith, Heath Smith, Jim Smith, Glen Smith, David Tanner, David Daily and Johnny Sanders.

O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville directed.
