T'ville liquor store fined for selling to minor

An Alabama Beverage Control Board undercover operation netted one charge in Thomasville recently. In the Spirits, a liquor store in downtown Thomasville was cited for selling alcohol to a minor on April 11.

According to the store's owners, the employee working at the time asked the undercover buyer for identification but misread the birthdate on the license. The store was fined and the fine was paid by the owners.

The employee who made the sale also faces charges and fines and could face up to a year in prison.
