LETTERS TO THE EDITOR Thanks for helping with McCain visit Dear Editor, I would personally like to thank Alabama Southern Community College for the use of their facilities. Also, the Thomasville Police Department, the Thomasville Fire Department, Gaston's Grill and everyone involved in making Senator John McCain's visit to Alabama Southern Community College a history making event. Your cooperation was very much appreciated. Katie Simon Fundraiser donations appreciated Dear Editor: I would like to personally thank all of the businesses and individuals who were so generous with their donations to the Voice for the Animals Campaign recently held in Fulton. Local T-shirt sponsors were Lewis Pest Control, Alabama Timber, Edward Jones Investments, Brooks Chevrolet, In The Spirits and Mr. and Mrs. Buddy Davis. Donating door prizes were Dozier Hardware, Thomasville Feed and Seed, Buds N Bows by Minnie and Edward Jones Investments. The proceeds from this event will benefit the new Clarke County Animal Shelter. Now that Fulton has kicked off the fund raising in fine fashion. I would like to encourage everyone to contact their city officials and keep the ball rolling. Thomasville, Grove Hill and Jackson can do so much to help by organizing their own events and helping out with this much needed facility.
