OBITUARIES Joyce M. Horne Bonner Joyce M. Horne Bonner of Whatley died at a Mobile hospital on April 20. The funeral was held at 11 a.m., April 26 at First Baptist Church of Whatley with the Rev. Fernell Pendleton officiating. Burial was in First Baptist Cemetery. Mrs. Bonner is survived by three daughters, Tamera (Tommy) McInnis of Los Angeles AFB, Calif., and Taiwan and Dwan Bonner of Mobile; two brothers, Johnny (Lucinda) Horne and Dennis (Genet) Horne; and four grandchildren, Jamiela, Deandre McInnis, Germine McMillian Jr. and Keiana Robinson. Reese Funeral Home of Thomasville directed. Florrie Alice Lowry Florrie Alice Lowry, 75, of Thomasville, died Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at Heritage Health Care and Rehab in Tuscaloosa. Ms. Lowry was born Dec. 22, 1932 in Wilcox County. She was a homemaker and was a member of Sunny South Baptist Church. Graveside service was held at 2 p.m., Friday, April 25, at Sunny South Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Denny Couturie officiating. Ms. Lowry is survived by one brother, Ken Lowry of Montgomery; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sunny South Baptist Church. O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville directed. Ludie Alston Stone Ludie Alston Stone, 93, of Thomasville died Thursday, April 24, 2008, at Jackson Health Care Facility in Jackson. Mrs. Stone was born June 3, 1914 in Magnolia. She was a former secretary in the Air Force, was a graduate of Magnolia High School and was a member of the Magnolia United Methodist Church. Graveside service was held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 26 at Magnolia Cemetery in Magnolia with the Rev. James Morgan officiating. Mrs. Stone is survived by one sister, Emma Alston Parker of Thomasville; one niece, Cecilia Alston Adams of St. Stephens; one nephew-in-law, Vester C. Ott of Thomasville; one great-niece, Ashlie Adams (Alex) Flowers of St. Stephens; two great-nephews, William Alston Adams of Cincinnati, Ohio and Jonathan Melton Adams of Dallas, Texas; one great-great-nephew, Haas Alexander Flowers of St. Stephens; and one great-greatniece, Margaret Faith Flowers of St. Stephens.
Mrs. Stone was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip W. Stone; her parents, Nathaniel Lowery Alston and Willie Henderson Alston; one brother, Cecil J. Alston; one sister, Margaret Alston Pope; and one niece, Betsy Parker Ott. O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home of Thomasville directed.
