Hundreds attend musical extravaganza

More than 400 students, parents and school faculties were in attendance at the Wilcox County Schools sixth annual musical extravaganza hosted by F.S. Ervin Elementary School on Thursday, April 24. The theme of the extravaganza was "Music Washes Away from the Soul the Dust of Everyday Life". Rev. Lionel Davis of Montgomery was a special guest contributor and also served as master of ceremony for the occasion. Guest participants in the musical were ABC Elementary School, J.E. Hobbs Elementary School, Camden School of Arts and Technology, F.S. Ervin Elementary School and Wilcox Central High School Choir with Dr. J. Nettles-Denson, directing. Gloria Thomas is the music coordinator for Wilcox County schools and responsible for the annual event. Camden National Bank, Town and Country National Bank of Camden and The Bank of Pine Hill sponsored the musical extravaganza.
