CHURCH CALENDAR
Annual youth day and revival

Walnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Highway 69 in Morvin, will hold its annual youth day at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, May 18. Guest minister will be The Rev. Tommy Chapman, pastor of The Little Rock Baptist Church in Grove Hill. Revival will follow thereafter at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday through Friday, May 21 - 23. Evangelist will be the Rev. Anthony Kimbrough, pastor of Bethel Baptist Church in Franksville. Church pastor is the Rev. David Fuller.

Youth fun day

A youth health walk-a-thon will be held from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., May 17 at Thomasville High School. The event, sponsored by the youth department of Walnut Grove Community Worship Center in Morvin, will continue at the church worship center with youth fun day including a free health screening. Oak Grove homecoming

Oak Grove Baptist Church of Chilton will hold its homecoming Sunday, May 18 at 10 a.m. followed by preaching and dinner on the grounds. An afternoon singing will begin at 1:30 p.m. featuring Good News and others. Pastor Morris Hill invites everyone to come and join the fellowship.

Women's day

Williams Temple CME Church, 206 Davis Avenue in Thomasville, will host its annual women's day celebraton at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, May 18. Guest speaker will be Minister Juanita Johnson of Good Stone AME Church in St. Stephens. Everyone is invited.

Homecoming, decoration

Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, 4 miles east of Dixon's Mills on County Road 55, will hold decoration and homecoming on Sunday May 25. Worship service will begin at 11 a.m. with lunch afterwards. Singing will begin around 1 p.m. with featured singers The Revelators. Pastor James McCrory invites everyone to come.

Homecoming

Lower Peach Tree homecoming will be held at 10:30 a.m., May 25 at the United Methodist Church. Theme will be "Precious Memories" in particular memories of families, landmarks, events and more in LPT's upper town and lower town and in neighboring areas.

Needed by May 1 is: family news - births, graduates, honors, travels, death and any other news anyone would like to share; stories - what the area has meant and does now; articles and pictures for souvenir booklets; and donations to list in the cemetery, church souvenir booklet.

Continuing on May 25: Display of church bulleting/picture, flowers and plants to share, keepsakes of all types, and family/town history.

The service will include "precious Memories Time" and tribute to the Bicentennial of Methodism in Alabama. Bring lawn chairs and food items for dinner on the grounds. For more information contact Maud K. Garrick, 3432 Princess Ann St., Montgomery, AL 36109- 1532.

Singing

Christian music recording artists, The Pfeifers, will be featured in a musical worship service at 10:30 a.m., Sunday, May 25, at the Hickory Grove Baptist Church, 991 Souwilpa Road in Silas. The Pfeifers' music has been enjoyed worldwide via the Gaither Homecoming video series, as well as performances on the Trinity Broadcasting Network, Gospel Music Television, the DISH Network and the Sky Angel Network.

Pastor appreciation

The fifth year appreciation for Carlton L. Hogue, pastor of New Greater First Baptist Church, 181 Nicol Ave. Southeast in Thomasville, will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, June 1. Rev. Calvin Johnson, pastor of Willow Springs Baptist Church and Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Greensboro, will be guest speaker.

Angels Touching Children's Lives

Angels Touching Children's Lives (ATCL), a Christian organization, has been established to brighten and enhance the lives of children with special needs. Sweating in the Spirit with Thomasville Church of God in Christ

Ladies and Gentleman, let's get busy Thomasville, exercise for you health. Three days a week will lower your blood pressure, help you sleep, and most of all help you feel good about yourself; Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday nights from 6 p.m. to 6:56 p.m. at Thomasville Church of God in Christ.
