Morgan retires from GP after more than 44 years

Ted celebrated his retirement of 44 years and 4 months from Georgia Pacific on Dec. 31. Throughout his employment the company changed names five different times beginning with Marathon Southern when Ted began working on Aug. 31, 1964. Later it became American Can Company, James River, Fort James and finally Georgia Pacific.
Among the 64 family, friends and co-workers attending were: his wife, Cheryl Morgan; two sons, daughter-in-law and grandsons, Jerry, Terry, Leslie, Grant and Heath Morgan; his mother, Lois Morgan; Eudell and Bettie Dungan; Joyce and Jim Reeves; Scarlet and Milton Cherry; Laura Reeves Hutchison, David Anderson, Vanessa Mills; Jimmy and Debra Andrews, Catherine Sumerlin; T.J. and Judy Kirkham; David Morgan; Cecil and Debbie Thompson; Pastor Aaron and Nichole Carpenter; Greg and Kathy Parten; Duane and Robin Edmonds; James and Phyllis Edmonds; Gene and Dean Etheredge; Bobby and Barbara McManus; Doris and Harold Agee; David and Michelle Taylor; Harold and Rojean Reid; Bruce and Eula Flowers; Wallace Gates; Norma and Charlie Bradford; Billy and Janet Kirkham; Linda Elmore; Wanda Morgan; Craig Smith; David and Martha Gibbs; Neal and Easter Reese; Billy and Mary Ann Davis; Charlotte and Dewayne Wright; Randy and Edna William; and John Glass.
Ted also celebrated his 65th birthday on the same day as his retirement party and on Dec. 25, he and his wife Cheryl Dungan Morgan celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary.
