The Second Annual Rambling Rose Ghost Chase 5K Road Race is scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 24 in Thomasville. The start time for the 5K race is set for 4:00 PM with a one mile fun run to begin immediately following the race, at approximately 4:45 PM.

Age groupings for the 5K race include 9 and under, 10 - 19, 20 - 29, 30 -39, 40 - 49, 50 - 59, 60 - 69, and 70 +. Prizes will be awarded to the top overall male and female runners; top male and female masters (40 - 49); top grandmasters (50+) as well as the top three male and female in each 10 year age grouping. Medals will be awarded to the top 30 finishers in the one mile fun run.

The race will start two blocks east of the intersection of Wilson Avenue and West Front Street with the majority of the course on West Front Street and Downtown Thomasville. Water Stations will be provided along the course.

Pre-registration fee for entrants 16 and above will be $13.00 while those 15 and under will pay $10.00. All pre-registrations must be post marked by October 17, 2009. Day of race registration fees will be $16.00 for those 16 and above and $10.00 for those 15 and under. Race day registration will be held at the corner of Wilson Avenue and West Front Street.

Pre-registered runners will be guaranteed a T - Shirt while day of the race registrants will receive TShirts as long as they last. There will be no re-order for T-shirts after the race.

Fruit and beverages will be provided for all race participants following the race and random drawings will be held for door prizes. All participants are also encouraged to stick around for Ghost Walk - Fall Festival which will offer fun for all ages.
