Steven Lee Riley and Alissa Lauren Cannon Steven Lee Riley and Alissa Lauren Cannon Mr. and Mrs. Kerry L. Cannon of Thomasville announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter Alissa Lauren Cannon to Steven Lee Riley, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Alan Riley of Headland.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Blanton Adair of Hartsell, the late Jean Ward Adair of Double Springs and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Cannon Jr. of Linden.

She is a 2004 graduate of Thomasville High School and in 2008 from Troy University where she graduated magna cum laude and earned a science degree in communication and fine arts. Miss Cannon is a member of Alpha Psi Omega National Honorary Theatre Society and Delta Epsilon Iota - academic honor society. She is currently pursuing a masters in English / language arts and is employed by the Dothan City Schools.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mrs. Freddie Eulaula Riley of Abbeville and the late William E. Riley and the late Arthur and Willodean Bush of Opelika.

Mr. Riley is a 2003 graduate of Headland High School and served in Iraq with the 48th Infantry Bri gade of Savannah, Ga. In 2005-2006 (Iraq) he was awarded the Purple Heart and later served as a de fense contractor in Afghan istan. He is employ - ed with General Dynamics at Fort Rucker.

The wedding will be and event of 5 o'clock in the evening, Saturday, Dec. 12, at Pineview Baptist Church in Thomasville. All friends and family are invited.
