Donation received for new band uniforms

2009-12-17 / School

Senator Marc Keahey (right) recently presented Thomasville High School’s band director Ben Brown with a check for $5,000. The money will be used to purchase more band uniforms for the growing band program. These uniforms will be seen at football games, parades and concert band performances. Brown commented, “Each uniform is very expensive, so we again would like to express our thanks to Senator Keahey. We have many needs such as the need for school owned French horns, mellophones, baritones, trumpets, trombones, concert percussion instruments and have many current instruments in need of repair.” Anyone who would like to make a contribution to the band, can contact Brown at 334-636-4484.
