Junior Miss wishes

PHOTO BY ARTHUR MCLEAN Thomasville Mayor Sheldon Day and Chamber of Commerce director Marlo Anderson give Thomasville's Julie Dozier a send off as Dozier leaves Thomasville to compete in the state Junior Miss competition to be held in Montgomery next weekend. Talent competition will be held Jan. 16, fitness and self expression competitions Jan. 17, and final judging Jan. 18 at Frazer United Methodist Church. Dozier will be competing with 52 other girls for the chance to represent Alabama in the upcoming national Junior Miss competition. Dozier is the second Thomasville native in three years to make it to this level, following Hannah Etheridge in 2007.
