Kirk

William Roy “Buddy” Kirk, 82, of Pine Hill, died Saturday, March 6, 2010, at a Camden Nursing Facility in Camden.

Mr. Kirk was born Dec. 9, 1927 in Yellow Bluff. He was a retired sewing machine mechanic and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.

The funeral was held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, March 9, at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville with the Revs. John Averitt and Benny Harrison officiating. Burial was in Kelly Cemetery in Pine Hill.

Mr. Kirk is survived by four sons, Larry (Charlotte) Kirk of Thomasville, Joe Kirk of Camden, Johnny (Pat) Kirk of Thomasville and David (Patti) Kirk of Toxey; three daughters, Linda Anderson of Thomasville, Patricia (David) Walker of Thomasville and Debbie (Henry) Morgan of Camden; three sisters, Lois Britton of Selma, Elizabeth Hare of Grove Hill and Lucille Goodman of Thomasville; 23 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Kirk was preceded in death by his wife Vera Mae Kirk.

Pallbearers were Brad Kirk, Phillip Morgan, Henry Morgan, Andrew Morgan, Jesse Morgan, John Roberts, Michael Roberts and Michael Bender.

Honorary pallbearers were Stacey Kirk, Lee Kirk, Adam Roberts and Spencer Kirk.

O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville directed.
