Mayton

William F. “Bill” Mayton, 79, of Beaver Creek, died Friday, April 16, 2010 at his home.

He was born February 2, 1931 in Beaver Creek. Mr. Mayton served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a retired millwright and a member of Beaver Creek Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.

The funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 19, at Beaver Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Thomas Anderson, Rev. Tony Earl Cannon and Rev. Sidney Hill officiating. Interment was at Beaver Creek Cemetery in Beaver Creek.

He is survived by his wife, Ranelle H. Mayton of Beaver Creek; two sons, Mike (Sherrill) Mayton and Scott (Michelle) Mayton both of Thomasville; brother, James Walter Mayton of Sweet Water and 3 grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Hunter Mayton, Chip Etheridge, Wayne Luker, Joe Etheridge, Kenny Bedsole, Marcus Mayton and Charlie Etheridge.

O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Hone in Thomasville directed.
