Effie Mabel “Mickey” Kelley Dethloff, 83, died Tuesday, May 4, 2010 in Duluth, Ga.

Mabel was born on August 9, 1926 in Thomasville. She worked as an executive secretary for Bell Weather Exploration Company in Houston, TX. Mabel was devout Christian and devoted mother and grandmother who loved to dance and fish.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 7, 2010 at Eternal Hills Funeral Home in Snellville, Ga. with Buddy Hoffman officiating. Interment was at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 8, 2010 at the Kelley Cemetery in Thomasville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George E. and Jewell Mae (Reneau) Kelley and brother, Luther Kelley.

She is survived by three daughters, Nancy (Bill) Steele of Conroe, TX, Joy (Thad) Gilliam of Lilburn, Ga. and Terri (Shawn) Sullivan of Steamboat Springs, Colo.; two sisters, Eva Jackson and Martha Overton both of Thomasville and eight grandchildren, Joshua Steele, Ashley Clemence, Bethany Mozley, Thad Gilliam, Bradford Gilliam, Sage Sullivan, Bryce Sullivan and Sean Sullivan.
