Ersie Clyde McIntyre, 79, of Grove Hill died Monday, May 31, 2010 at a local hospital.
He was born March 12, 1931. He was a native of Chilton and a retired Engineer II with the State Highway Department. Mr. McIntyre served in the U. S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and was a member of Bassett Creek Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at Lathan Funeral Home in Grove Hill with Rev. Benny Harrison and Rev. Chris Kynard officiating. Interment will be in Bassett Creek Baptist Cemetery. An online guestbook may be signed at www.lathanfuneralhomes. com.
Mr. McIntyre is survived by his wife, Betty McIntyre of Grove Hill and brother, Vivian B. McIntyre of Grove Hill.
Pallbearers were Jackie Davis, Sam Boyette, Tony Baugh, Marvin McIntyre, Robert Fore and Amos Johnson.
Honorary Pallbearers were Jesse Ray Baugh, Billy Honeycutt, John Goodman and Julius Johnson.
