Barbara E. Curry Ross Barbara E. Curry Ross Barbara E. Curry Ross, 57, of Erie, Pa. died unexpectedly Monday, May 24 at Hamot Medical Center.

Barbara was born on March 12, 1953 in Beatrice, Ala. She graduated from Academy High School in 1972 in Erie, Pa. She was an active member of Morning Star Baptist Church where she was a member of the choir. Barbara worked at the JFK Center, Bayside, Erie Ceramic Arts and Continental Rubber. She loved cooking and shopping, especially for pretty things. She enjoyed sculptures and enjoyed working with the Seniors at the JFK Center.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 29, 2010 at Morning Star Baptist Church with Rev. Amos Goodwine officiating. Interment was in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles L. and Dicie Mae Grayson Curry; paternal grandparents, J. D. and Inez Richardson Curry; maternal grandparents, Earl and Adline Evans Grayson and brother, Edgar Lee “Sugar” Curry.

She is survived by Robert W. Ross Sr.; three sons, Robert William Ross, Jr. his fiancée Denise, DeAndre Lenell Ross and Marcus Allen Ross all of Erie, Pa.; daughter, Dicie Ann (David) Ross of Erie, Pa.; four granddaughter, Sherece L. Ross, Samariona L. Ross, Zahirah A. Ross and Daveaha L. McLendon all of Erie, Pa.; brother, Ronald L. Curry, Sr. of Erie; three sisters, Inez Curry Mendenhall and Lydia M. Curry (Ernest) Evans both of Erie and Marion Curry Morgan (Elman) Gayle of Millcreek; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends including two very dear friends, Dorothy Archibald and Mary A. Ulmer.
