Mr. Gaddy a former resident of Sunny South proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He retired after working many years in the oil field with Mobil Oil Co. and served as a Deacon at Immanuel Baptist Church.
His love for God and family made him a loving husband, a wonderful father and a doting grandfather and great-grandfather.
Mr. Gaddy enjoyed working in his vegetable garden, tinkering, riding his bicycle in the neighborhood and telling a good joke. He valued learning and provided a college education for each of his three children.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City. Interment was in the Morgan City Cemetery. To view the online obituary and leave condolences via the internet browse www.hargravefuneral home.com.
Mr. Gaddy is survived by his wife, Judith Gaddy of Berwick, La.; two sons, Robert George (Cathy) Gaddy of Chandler, Ariz. and Charles Paul (Adrianna) Gaddy of Dallas, TX; daughter, Kay Gaddy (Dirk) Arceneaux of Stephenville, La.; his grandchildren include Robert’s children, Keith and Rene, Charles’ children, Kristen and Bella and Kay’s children, Christina and Joshua and seven great-grandchildren.
