Stanley Earl Flowers, Sr., 56, a truck driver, of Grove Hill died Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at his home. He was born December 30, 1953 in Mobile.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 1, 2010 at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with Russell Wright officiating. Interment was at the Coy Cemetery in Coy.

He is preceded in death by his father, Alvin Levert Flowers; mother, Elizabeth Bernice Flowers and brother, William Flowers.

He is survived by his wife, Frances Flowers of Livingston, Texas; son, Stanley Earl Flowers, Jr. of Grove Hill; two daughters, Stephanie Michell Flowers Taylor of Livingston, Texas and Holliegh Lee Morgan of Foley; brother, Jimmy Flowers of Grove Hill; four sisters, Denise (Terry) Hayles of Jackson, Angie Flowers of Monroeville, Shirley Overston of Grove Hill and Glenda Goodman of Dickinson; 6 grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Ernest Paul, Jimmy Flowers, Nathan Overstreet, Buddy Hughes, Alvin Moore, Dennis Vickery and Trayce Flowers.

Honorary pallbearers were Todd Overstreet, Austin Flowers, Jonathan Flowers, Mathew Flowers, Terry Hayles, Trityn Wright, Brodie Wright, Robert “Dink” Kinman, Paul Hayles and Braxton Carrasco.

O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville directed.
