James Alfred Woolf, Jr., 62, a retired communications specialist, of Thomasville died Monday, November 1, 2010 at Southwest Alabama Medical Center in Thomasville. He was born June 8, 1948 in Demopolis. He was a retired U.S. Army veteran and received a Silver Star and Purple Heart.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 3, 2010 are O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Don Stephens officiating. Interment was held at Midway Baptist Church Cemetery in Thomasville.

He is survived by his wife, Brickie Avis Dement Woolf of Thomasville; son, Christopher Blake Woolf of Norfolk, Va.; sister, Joyce Woolf Dukes of Myrtlewood; brother, Henry Woolf of Daytona Beach, Fla.

Pallbearers were Paul Clark, Peter Clark, Joshua Smith, Michael Dukes, Chad Woddail, John Powell Webb, Kevin McElroy and Billy Dukes.

O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville directed.
