Carol Harvell Smith, 97, a homemaker, of Thomasville died Sunday, November 21, 2010 at Thomasville Nursing Home in Thomasville. She was born October 9, 1913 in Pine Hill. She was a member of Yellow Bluff Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Benny Crawford and Rev. Mark Lambert officiating. Interment was at Kelly Cemetery in Pine Hill.
She is survived by two sons, William Marion Franklin Smith of Thomasville and James Franklin Smith of Pine Hill; three daughters, Viola Roberts of Selma, Ollie M. Cassity of Fulton and Mary Etta White of Jackson; two brothers, Jessie Harvell and Burk Harvell both of Yellow Bluff; four sisters, Brozine Morgan, Etta Mae Hightower and Tipsey Tyler all of Pine Hill and Della Murphy of Tarpon Springs, Fla.; 19 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 38 great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Robert Godbold, Pat Godbold, Randy Smith, Ricky Smith, Ronnie Smith, Chad Smith, Jamie Cassity and Sean Donovan.
O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville directed.
