Maynard Ray Andrews, 87, of Thomasville died Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at Mobile Infirmary. He was born August 7, 1923 in Greenwood.
Mr. Andrews was a retired paper mill worker. He was a member of the Thomasville United Methodist Church and a World War II U.S. Navy veteran.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 2, 2010 at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. George Sedberry and Rev. Mark Lambert officiating. Interment was at Kelley Cemetery in Thoamsville.
He is survived by his wife, Maggie Inez Andrews of Thomasville; son, Jimmy (Debra) Andrews of Thomasville; daughter, Carolyn (Alton) Drinkard of Thomasville; brother, Everett Andrews of Bassett Creek; four grandchildren, Jeff (Melanie) Drinkard of Rome, Ga., Jarod (Tanya) Andrews of Huntsville, Lucas (Cotrena) Andrews of Atmore and Abbie (Chris) Lacey of Talladega; seven great grandchildren, Mary Madeline Drinkard, Evans Drinkard, Cole Andrews, Megan Andrews, James Andrews, Travis Andrews and Delanna Lacey.
Pallbearers were Jeff Drinkard, Jarod Andrews, Lucas Andrews, Chris Lacey, Glenn Hobgood and Russell Andrews.
Honorary pallbearers were Marion Bartlett, Boyce Kelley, Phil Andrews, Andy Bagley, Tiajuana Campbell, Laura Lewis and Ollie Pugh.
O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville directed.
