Gladys Wilkerson Cassity, 78, of Gallion died Thursday, February 24, 2011 at her home. She was born April 24, 1932 in Thomasville. She was a retired examiner with Vanity Fair. She was a member of the Cornerstone Church.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 27, 2011 at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Rob Wynne officiating. Interment was at Midway Baptist Church Cemetery in Thomasville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George William Cassity; two brothers, W. C. Wilkerson and Joe Wilkerson; two sisters, Lois W. Rush and Inez W. Gould.
She is survived by two sons, George T. “Tommy” (Debbie) Cassity of Demopolis and Danny (Joy) Cassity of Gallion; daughter, Charlotte C. (John) Crepps of Gallion; two brothers, Bill (Claire) Wilkerson of Saraland and Harold (Linda) Wilkerson of Thomasville; two sisters, Vernon W. Pugh of Thomasville and Hazel W. Garrett of Vidalia, Ga.; 8 grandchildren and 15 greatgrandchildren.
Pallbearers were Brandon D. Crepps, Jeremy T. Cassity, Jason D. Cassity, Ryan T. Cassity, Joshua M. Cassity and Justin E. Webb.
Honorary pallbearers were Blake Webb, R. J.
