William Edward “Booster” Fendley, 81, a retired bookkeeper, of Thomasville died Thursday, May 26, 2011, at Thomasville Nursing Home. He was born August 14, 1929 in Thomasville.
Mr. Fendley was a member of the Springfield Methodist Protestant Church and a founding member of Grove Hill Methodist Protestant Church. He was a member of the Thomasville Quarterback/Athletic Club and the Thomasville Investment Club. He was also a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II.
Funeral services were 3 p.m. Sunday, May 29, 2011 at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with Revs. Mark Lambert and Jimmy Simpkins officiating. Interment was a Kelley Cemetery in Thomasville.
He is survived by his wife, Clara Irene Jackson Fendley of Thomasville; two sons, Donnie (Pam) Fendley of Thomasville and Tommy (Kim) Fendley of North Little Rock, Ark.; two daughters, Linda Little of Birmingham and Tammy (Kevin) Boone of Thomasville; three brothers, Fred Fendley of Thomasville, Jack Fendley of Pennington and Larry Fendley of Newport, Tenn.; sister, Faye Kelly of Thomasville; nine grandchildren, Stephen (Melia) Fendley, Ace Fendley, Emily (Jim) Ogle, Stuart (Megan) Little, Zack Fendley, Kylie P. Fendley, Maycee Fendley, Cody Boone and Claire Boone; three great-grandchildren, Holten Fendley, London Fendley and James Ogle.
Pallbearers were Stephen Fendley, Ace Fendley, Stuart Little, Zack Fendley, Cody Boone, Maycee Fendley, Kylie P. Fendley, Claire Boone and Emily Ogle.
Honorary pallbearers were Fred Fendley, Jack Fendley, Larry Fendley, Faye Kelly, nieces, nephews and the staff of Thomasville Nursing Home.
