Herbert Nolan Guy, 82, a retired truck driver of Thomasville, died Friday, Aug., 12, 2011, at his home. He was born November 19, 1928 in Millry. He attended Thomasville Church of God.
Funeral services were 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 15, 2011 at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Girlie officiating. Interment was at Henley Cemetery in Fulton.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary Guy.
He is survived by seven sons, Michael Barlow of Florala, Herbert Guy, Roy Guy, James Guy, Tommy Guy and Lonnie Guy all of Millry and Donald Guy of Semmes; daughter, Gracie Phillips of Thomasville; four brothers, Nelson Guy and Billy Guy both of Millry, Johnny Guy of Chatom and Prentiss Guy of Silas; two sisters, Aline Becton and Patsy Sullivan both of Millry; 20 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and two greatgreat grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Esaw Woods, Michael Phillips, Danny Gates, Kenneth Gates, Michael Barlow and Zeke Lewis.
