Geneva Courtney Ott, 73, of Thomasville died Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011, at Country Oaks Assisted Living Facility #2. She was born June 18, 1938 in Peach Tree. She was a retired office manager with Clarke-Mobile Gas Company and a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.

Funeral services were 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2011 at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Hal Taylor and Rev. Don Newton officiating. Interment was at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Thomasville.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Bonnie Pearl Morgan and brother, Willie Clyde Courtney.

She is survived by her daughter, Debra Ott Wood of Thomasville; brother, Bill Courtney of Bessemer; two sisters, Ruby Fendley of Fulton and Marie Swindle of Selma; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Pallbearers were Chad Ott, Clay Baugh, Michael Edmonds, Lamar Morgan, James Edmonds, Scott Lewis, Ryan Ott and Michael Pugh.

Honorary pallbearers were The Deacons at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.
