Charles Thomas Clemmons, 48, of Thomasville, died Sunday, Aug. 21, 2011, at Mobile Infirmary. He was born January 28, 1963 in Meridian, Miss. He was a former cell phone call center representative and a member of the Thomasville Baptist Church.
He excelled in entrepreneurial endeavors and ran his own business for several years. Charles was a bright and compassionate friend to many.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011 at Thomasville Baptist Church with Rev. Ty Parten and Dr. James Best officiating. Interment was a Choctaw Corner Cemetery in Thomasville.
He is survived by his parents, Joe Dale and Jean Clemmons of Thomasville; daughter, Elizabeth Claire Clemmons of Tuscaloosa; three sisters, Cathy (Morris) Clemmons Pate of Paint City, Fla., Susan Dale Clemmons of Charlotte, NC and Nancy Lynn Clemmons of Houston, Texas; aunt and uncles, Alice and Earnest White of Gordo, Pauline and Roy Williams of Tuscaloosa, Jeri and Leon Kemp of Northport and Rebecca Corder of Hartsell; numerous cousins.
Pallbearers were Allen Stoudenmire, Dennis White, George Adams, George Overstreet, Ray Charles Dauphin and Jonathan Smathers.
Honorary pallbearers were Marcus Champion, Barry Woods, Mark Mason, friends and neighbors of Eloine Street and The Fisher of Men Sunday School Class at Thomasville Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to the donors favorite charity.
