Daniel Barnes “Cotton” Vick, Jr., 81, of Pine Hill, a retired highway department maintenance superintendent, died Friday, Sept. 9, 2011, at Grove Hill Memorial Hospital. He was born October 22, 1929 in Half Acre. He was a member of the Sunny South Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of the Thomasville VFW.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11, 2011 at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Denny Couturie officiating. Interment was at Sunny South Baptist Church Cemetery in Sunny South.
He is survived by his wife, Elsie Ray Vick of Pine Hill; three daughters, Wanda (Jody) Crosby of Pine Hill, Dianne (R.T.) Ramage of Vardaman, Miss and Barbara (Morris) Hill of Pine Hill; three brothers, Kenneth Vick and Godfrey Vick both of Pine Hill and Lester Vick of Bay Minette; three sisters, Nell McGee Smith of Mobile, June Sims of Pine Hill and Dell Bradford of Scyrene; four grandchildren, Daniel (Jenny) Ramage, Amanda (Ben) Herrin, Marcus Crosby and Cody Hill; three great-grandchildren, Ava Hill, Brendan Hill and Addie Herrin.
Pallbearers were Daniel Ramage, Marcus Crosby, Cody Hill, Bejamin Herrin, Godfrey Vick, Ken Vick, Jr. and Ronald McClure.
