James David Maness, 69, a sawmill mechanic of Arlington, died Monday, Sept 26, 2011, at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. He was born Sept. 13, 1942 in Arlington. He was a member of the County Line Baptist Church and a U.S. Army veteran.

Funeral services were 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011 at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with Jason Maness and Dennis Hathcock officiating. Interment was at County Line Baptist Church Cemetery in Arlington.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie G. Maness of Arlington; son, Allen J. (Patsy) Greene of Faunsdale; daughter, Melinda G. (Kenny) Morgan of Arlington; two brothers, Roger T. (Sue) Maness and Walter L. Maness both of Arlington; sister, Gena (Larry) Durant of Camden; three grandchildren, Allen Morgan of Arlington, David Morgan of Livingston and Hallie (Scott) Boydston of Warner Robins, Ga.; two greatgrandchildren, Kenneth Boydston and Jackson Boydston both of Warner Robins, Ga.

Pallbearers were Scott Harris, Gene Agee, Tommy Hudson, Sr., Thomas Earl Evans, Johnny Evans and Charlie Evans.
