James Reginald Drinkard, 78, a retired heavy equipment operator of Fulton, died Sunday, Nov. 20, 2011 at Cogburn Nursing Center in Mobile. He was born Oct. 5, 1922 in Grove Hill. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Graveside funeral services were 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2011 at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Thomasville with the Rev. Warren Shewmake officiating.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Luna James; sister, Edna Earl James and grandchild, Brendan Drinkard.
He is survived by his wife, Imogene Drinkard of Fulton; son, Kenneth Drinkard of Fulton; two brothers, Robert E. (Sandra) James of Dothan and Donald Joe ( Sharon) James of Fulton; five sisters, Mary (Bennie) Pugh of Jackson, Patsy (Eddie) Fisher of Pensacola, Fla., Emma (Billy) Criswell of Fulton, Mildred (Warren) Shewmake of Greenwood and Judy (Jim) Thompson of Vineland; grandchild, Braylan Drinkard; two brothers-in-law, Eugene (Linda) Meeks of Newman, Ga. and Ray Meeks of Griffin, Ga.
Pallbearers were Lynn Criswell, Johnny Criswell, Shawn James, Bruce Andrews, Ricky James and Curtis James.
Alternate pallbearer was Jimmy Thompson.
