Gary Lee Counselman, 58, of Coffeeville died Friday, Dec. 16, 2011, at his home. He was born June 18, 1953 in Grove Hill. He was a powerhouse operator at Weyerhaeuser Paper Mill. He served as the fire chief of the West Bend/Bethel Volunteer Fire Department and was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church.

Funeral services were Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011, at Bethel Baptist Church with Revs. Wilton Bennett and Leland James officiating. Interment was at Ulcanush Baptist Church Cemetery in Coffeeville.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Vick Counselman.

He is survived by his daughter, Kasie (Ben) Etheredge of Coffeeville; two sons, Brent (Sylvia) Fuller of Whatley and Daniel (Ashley) Fuller of Grove Hill; three grandchildren, Abby Fuller, Jack Fuller and Carter Etheredge.

Pallbearers were Michael White, Billy Robinson, Charles May, Joe James, Brian James and Jason James.

Honorary pallbearers were members of the West Bend/Bethel Volunteer Fire Department and the Coffeeville Volunteer Fire Department.
