Jim “Buster” Pugh, 79, died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2012, in Birmingham. He was born January 18, 1932. He graduated from Clarke County High School in Grove Hill and from Auburn University in 1955. He was a U. S. Army veteran and was retired from Sonat. He also was a member of Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012 at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral hour. Interment will follow in the Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Amanda Moore McMahan.
He is survived by two sons; Marlin Pugh and Brian Pugh; daughter, Cindy Hudson (Tom) Vanthournout; brother, Don (Kitty) Pugh; four grandchildren; Chris Moore, Stacey McMahan, Hannah Hudson and Abigail Hudson; great-grandchild, Robbie Moore; three stepgrandchildren, Tom Vanthournout, Tim Vanthournout and Lizzy Vanthournout.
