Leona Pugh, 75, a homemaker of Jackson, died Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012, at her home. She was born Sept. 9, 1936 in Knox City, Texas.
Graveside funeral services were Tuesday, Jan. 10 at Bashan Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Scott McCullar and Dr. Danny Ellis officiating.
She was preceded in death by her husband, A. B. Pugh.
She is survived by her son, Douglas P. (JoAnna) Pugh of Thomasville; two daughters, Suzanne (Scott) McCullar of Carbon Hill and Sandra (Kenny) Counselman of Jackson; six grandchildren, Hayden Pugh and Amanda Pugh, both of Thomasville, Mackenzie McCullar, Zakary McCullar and Nikolas McCullar, all of Carbon Hill and Philip (Lisa) Counselman of Mobile; great-grandchild, Sarah Counselman of Mobile; two nephews, Stan DeWitt and Joseph Newton; two nieces, Jennifer Crocker and Kathryn Crocker.
Pallbearers were Hayden Pugh, Philip Counselman, Stan DeWitt, Joseph Newton, Johnny Counselman and Neil Bush, Jr.
Memorials may be made to the Elam Baptist Church youth Department.
