Edgar Duke “Jack” Bennett, Jr., 75 of Fulton died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012 at his home. He was born Feb. 9, 1936 in Sweet Water. He was a former shop foreman and member of Liberty Baptist Church.
Funeral services were Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012 at Liberty Baptist Church with Revs. Bill Faircloth, Larry Darden and Grey Snodgrass officiating. Interment was a Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Thomasville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Duke Bennett and Azalea Beverly Bennett; brother, Bobby Earl Bennett; an infant sister; nephew, Neal Bennett.
He is survived by his wife, Nettie P. Bennett of Fulton; two nephews, Mike Bennett and Eddie Bennett; a host of great nieces and nephews and one greatgreat nephew.
Pallbearers were Charlie Hamilton, Dan Sheffield, Keith Bennett, Mark Bennett, Josh Robinson, John Gates and Cory Gates.
Honorary pallbearers were Jack McHaney, Willard Gates and Don Jordan.
