Willie Gray Pruett, 89, a former seamstress of Thomasville, died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012 at Grove Hill Memorial Hospital. She was born Feb. 15, 1922 in Lamison.

Funeral services were Saturday, Feb. 4, at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Eric Moring officiating. Interment followed at Magnolia Cemetery in Magnolia.

She is survived by her son, Robert A. Pruett, Jr. of Thomasville; two daughters, Merle Moring of Woodinville, Wash. and Dixie Gates of Fulton; two sisters, Effy May Morgan and Edna Livingston, both of Mobile; 20 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and 27 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Frank Gates, James Gates, Jessie Gates, Barry Moring, Brian Moring and Jeffery Pruett.

Honorary pallbearers were her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
