AET 3 Andrew Wilson Knight, 26, a resident of Mobile and a former resident of Thomasville, died Feb. 28, 2012. He was born Dec. 18, 1985 in Selma.

He loved his job working with helicopters and serving in the U.S. Coast Guard. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowboarding and suba diving. He was a graduate of Thomasville High School and attended Faulkner University and the University of Alabama before joining the U.S. Coast Guard. He was a member of Thomasville Baptist Church.

Visitation will be from 6- 8 p.m. Friday, Mar. 16, at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Mar. 17, at Thomasville Baptist Church with Dr. Gary A. Enfinger and Rev. Ty Parten officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Thomasville with military honors provided by the U.S. Coast Guard.

He is survived by his parents, Ken and Becky Knight of Thomasville; brother, Todd (Tausha) Knight of Foley; grandfather, Charles Wilson of Thomasville and several aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Thomasville Baptist Church Guatemala Mission Trip.
