Lisenbe

Carolyn Janice Pope Lisenbe, 76, a homemaker of Ridgeland, Miss. and former resident of Dixons Mills, died Thursday, Mar. 8, 2012 at Ridgeland Pointe. She was born June 19, 1935 in Surginer. She was a member of the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.

Funeral services were Monday, Mar. 12, at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Harry Giles officiating. Interment followed at Wesley Chapel UMC Cemetery in Dixons Mills.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Doris Pope and Haudie Grey Cannon Pope; three sisters, Beulah Louise Pope, Lola Mae Pope (Cecil) Hasty and Grace (Max) Hasty; two brothers, Samuel Merwyne Pope and Thomas Cannon Pope.

She is survived by her husband, Curtis Lisenbe of Madison, Miss.; three sons, Sam (Moni) Lisenbe of Ft. Worth, Texas, Steve Lisenbe of Thomasville and Tim (Diane) Lisenbe of Madison, Miss.; two brothers, Charles (Christine) Pope of Dixons Mills and Mike (Minnie) Pope of Thomasville; three sisters, Florence Lisenbe, Bettie (Max) Larkin and Linda Genin, all of Coatopa; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Henry Morgan, Jake Lisenbe, Luke Lisenbe, Cole Lisenbe, Matt Lisenbe and Josh Stone.

Alternate pallbearer was Phil Hasty.

Honorary pallbearer was Cecil McIntyre.
