Lenore Maness Irons, 79, of Thomasville died Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at Thomasville Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. She was born May 15, 1932 in Dixons Mills. She was a former nurse, florist and member of the Thomasville United Methodist Church. She also attended the Lower Peachtree United Methodist Church.

Funeral services were 11 a.m. Friday, May 11, 2012 at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with Revs. George Sedberry and Paul McVay officiating. Interment followed at Choctaw Corner Cemetery in Thomasville.

She is survived by her husband, Richard A. “Dick” Irons of Thomasville; sisterin law, Josephine D. Maness of Hattiesburg, Miss.; two nieces, Lisa (Steve) Summitt of Florence and Ronda (Jeff) Vanderheiden of Hattiesburg, Miss.

Pallbearers were John Collins, Jeff Vanderheiden, Steve Summitt, Cedrick Adams, Linzey Coston, Wesley Dozier and Nollie Loper.

Honorary pallbearer was Billy Hicks.

Memorials may be made to the Thomasville United Methodist Church, the Lower Peachtree United Methodist Church or the United Methodist Church Children’s Home.
