Claudie Burl Hudson, 80, a former warehouse foreman of Thomasville died Thursday, June 28, 2012 at Mobile Infirmary. He was born Sept. 9, 1931 in Greenwood. He was a member of the Bassett Creek Baptist Church and a member of the Oliver Lodge #334 F&AM. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army having served in the Vietnam War.
Funeral services were Sunday, July 1, 2012 at Bassett Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Kynard officiating. Internment with Military honors followed in the church cemetery in Grove Hill.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Debrough Jean Hudson; parents, Travis Madison Hudson and Mary Coleman Hudson; brother, Travis Rhett Hudson; two sisters, Ruth Thomas and Murl Allen.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Hudson of Thomasville; son, Richard (Cindy) Hudson of Thomasville; daughter, Dixie (Scott) Bishop of Opelika; brother, Coma L. Hudson of Lawndale, N.C.; sister, Joann Kelley of Thomasville; two grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren.
Pallbearers were Tony Barnes, Jeff Powell, Chuck Wilkerson, Sam Oliver, Roy Carlisle and Kirk Hill.
