William (Bill) Larry Ingram, 64, of Thomasville died Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery. He was born Aug. 12, 1947 in Butler. He was a retired maintenance supervisor at Thomasville Mental Health and Rehabilitation Center. “Chief” as he was affectionately known was an avid baseball fan. He assisted in coaching Thomasville High School Tiger Baseball and the Thomasville Travelers. He was a member of Thomasville Baptist Church.
Funeral services were Saturday, June 30, 2012 at Thomasville Baptist Church with Rev. Ty Parten and Dr. Gary A. Enfinger officiating. Internment followed at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Thomasville.
He survived by his wife, Rachel B. Ingram of Thomasville; daughter, Tara (Greg) Hulsey of Vestavia; son, Lance (Cherish) Ingram of Thomasville; sister, Patsy Dixon of Thomasville; four grandchildren, Ainsley Hulsey and Haley Hulsey, both of Vestavia, Landen Ingram and Brayden Ingram, both of Thomasville.
Pallbearers were Charlie Anderson, Wayne Nettles, Jimmy Nettles, Joe Nettles, Melvin Middleton, Steve Stacey, Johnny Dickerson and Speck McCants.
Honorary pallbearers were all the ball players “Chief” had ever coached.
Memorials may be made to Thomasville Baptist Church Hand N Hand Building Fund, Thomasville Baptist Church Children’s Ministry or The Alabama Baptist Children’s Home.
