Gena Lynn Parker, 43, of Thomasville died Monday, June 25, 2012 at her home. She was born Sept. 6, 1968 in Thomasville. She was a loving mother, a graduate of Faulkner University, a 20-year employee of Pine Belt Telephone Company and a member of Pineview Baptist Church.
Funeral services were Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Pineview Baptist Church with Revs. Glenn Akridge, Mitch Thrower, Scott Myers and Benny Harrison officiating. Internment followed at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Thomasville.
She is survived by her son, Hunter Parker of Thomasville; daughter, Natalie Parker of Thomasville; father, Bernard Pugh of Thomasville; mother, Barbara Pugh of Thomasville; brother, Bo (Hillary Bradford) Pugh of Thomasville; sister, Linda Powell of Thomasville; three nieces, Christan Bishop, Kelli Powell and Jordan Powell, all of Thomasville; her fiancée, Roger Van Wyck and his children, Kelsie and Clay Van Wyck, all of Thomasville.
Pallbearers were Marshall Parten, Mike Ledkins, Steve Green, Norris Robinson, Joe Agee and Andy Bagley.
Honorary pallbearers were the employees of Pine Belt Telephone Company.
