High Speed Internet Meeting

ConnectingALABAMA is holding a broadband planning meeting for residents, businesses, education and community leaders in Choctaw, Clarke, Conecuh, Dallas, Marengo, Monroe, Perry, Sumter, Washington and Wilcox counties.

Part of the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs, ConnectingALABAMA was created to increase awareness and encourage adoption of high-speed Internet in the state, with a special focus on rural areas.

A broadband investment plan that identifies the highest priority needs of the west Alabama region has been drafted. Area residents will learn about the progress that has been made and will have an opportunity to help further develop and implement the regional plan to boost access and use of broadband Internet service.
