Mary Sue Whatley Clark, 68, of Grove Hill died Aug. 20, 2012 at her home following a courageous battle with cancer. A native of Whatley, she worked at Vanity Fair, MacMillan- Blodel and was retired from Weyerhaeuser. She was a faithful member of Tompkins Baptist Church.

She was a beloved wife and mother. Survivors are her husband of 50 years, Jerry L. Clark of Grove Hill; daughter, Angelia M (Buddy) Jordan of Grove Hill; brother, George E. (Pam) Whatley of Whatley; two sisters, Margaret (Rodney) Hubbard of Inwood, West Va. and Sandra Williams of Whatley; four grandchildren, Adam Jordan and Kimberly Jordan, both of Grove Hill, Heather (Brian) Newton of Jackson and Lindsay Jordan of Mobile; one great-grandchild, Benjamin Newton of Jackson; nephews and close family friends, Annie Harrison and Lillian Gibson.

The funeral was Aug. 22 at Tompkins Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny Kendrick officiating. Burial was at Tompkins Baptist Church Cemetery with O’Bryant Funeral Home directing.

Active pallbearers were Wayne Pettis, Keith Newton, Claude Agee, Roger Hare, Ward Edge and Jack Robinson. Honorary pallbearers were David Downey, Randy Hare, John Mosley, Jeffrey Keel, Brad Cockerham and Chester Roberts.
