Henry Cole Burnett, 87, a resident of Fairhope died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012 at his home. Formerly of Thomasville, he was born Feb. 1, 1925 in Coatopa. Burnett was a member of Fairhope Baptist Church and a former member of Pineview Baptist Church. He was a former paper tester and a World War II U. S. Army veteran.
He is survived by son, Rex Burnett of Pascagoula, Miss; daughter, Annette Burnett Ridgeway of Eight Mile; six grandchildren, Jennifer Strickland of Gulf Shores, Carol Ann Burnett of Pascagoula, Miss., Michael Burnett of Ocean Springs, Miss., Leslie Ridgeway Forsman of Fairhope, Carrie Ridgeway Dauphin of Demopolis and Amy Ridgeway Wilson of Eight Mile and 12 greatgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by wife, Jewel Hall Burnett; daughter, Jackie Strickland and grandson, Jerry Harmon Strickland.
Funeral services were Friday, Sept. 28, 2012 at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Reed officiating. Interment followed at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Thomasville with O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Active pallbearers were Dan Burnett, Kerry Burnett, Michael Burnett, Ray Dauphin, Scott Wilson and Jonathan Forsman.
