Gerald Dwain Morgan, 75, of Lamison, died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012 at Trinity Hospital in Birmingham. He was born Jan. 17, 1937 in Sunny South and was a former chief engineer for Weeks Marine Inc. He attended Lamison Baptist Church.

He is survived by three daughters, Wanda Sue Morgan of Arlington, Patsy M. Gates and Machelle M. Kelly, both of Thomasville; three sisters, Polly M. English of Selma, Peggy M. Patrick of Thomasville and Cheryl M. Franz of Pine Hill; long time friend and co-worker, Captain Jim Bullock; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were at Goose Creek Cemetery in Lamison Sunday, Oct. 14 with Rev. Benny Harrison officiating and O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home directing.

Active pallbearers were James Gates, Alex Kelly, Larry Mac English, Kenneth Agee, Dan Garner and Barry Pope.

Honorary pallbearers were past and present employees of Weeks Marine Inc.
