India Pearl Lowry Spinks, 86, of Thomasville, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012 at Mobile Infirmary. She was born Feb. 19, 1926 in Linden. Spinks was a former bookkeeper at Spinks Drug Company, a homemaker and a member of Thomasville United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her two sons, Steve Spinks of Brussels, Belgium and Lynwood Spinks of Los Angeles, Calif.; five grandchildren, Joseph Spinks, Graham Spinks and Jason Spinks, all of Brussels; Jenna Spinks of Washington, D. C. and Hunter Spinks of San Francisco, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Spinks.

Visitation will be Thursday, Dec. 6 at the Thomasville United Methodist Church from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service with Rev. George Sedberry officiating. Interment will be at the Choctaw Corner Cemetery in Thomasville with O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home directing.

Active pallbearers will be Larry Malley, Ken Spinks, Charles Slade, Hardy Kimbrough, James Whitley and John Wortham.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ted Cornelius, Bill Askew, John Collins and Nollie Loper.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the United Methodist Children’s Home.
