James Okey “Junior” Ott, Jr., 90, of Thomasville, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013 at the VA Hospital in Tuskegee. He was born March 15, 1922 in Forrest Dale and was a former fabric cutter. Ott was a member of the Midway Baptist Church and a World War II U. S. Army Veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Ott of Thomasville; son, Ladell Ott of Thomasville; daughter, Patricia Ann Floyd of Opelika; brother, Vester Ott of Thomasville; two sisters, Syble Ott of Mobile and Ruby Clyde Horton of Grove Hill; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Mitch Floyd.
Funeral services were Thursday, Jan. 3 at Midway Baptist Church with Rev. Rex Jackson officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery with O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Active pallbearers were Brad Ott, Kent Ott, Hagen Kaylor, David Floyd, Jr., Todd Horton and Sonny Horton.
